When I edit a pdf and try to change the font color, it also changes the text size at the same time. Is there a way to keep the font size? I am using Acrobat Pro 2019.021.

Hi Barry,

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, changing the font color also changes the font size.

We tried to reproduce the issue on our end and its working fine.

As we can see you are using an old version of 2019.21 series. Please try to update the application to the new version 20.009.20074  go to Help > Check for Updates. For more information please take a look at thre help page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

If it still doesn't work please try to repair the installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation.

To change the font color please try the following steps:

  • Go to Tools > Edit  > Select the font > In the Right hand pannel click on the color and pick the color you want.

I updated and I still have the problem. I select some words and I merely change the color as you circled in your picture. On some (but not all) words, if I change the color the line spacing changes. For example, in one experiment, I changed the color of the last word and when I do that the word moves to the next line.

Hi there

I am sorry to hear that. Please try to reset the preferences to default as described here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792... and seeif that makes any difference.

If it still doesn't work, please try to create a new test user profile in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
