How do you select all of the image and not just a portion?

adobe help.png

Here is my issue. The current selected areas are where the program selected there to be an image but the image is the whole gray block. What i usually do is click on edit image and convert all text into searchable. However, images often appear like this and the only solution I have found is to edit in Ps, there I select the parts of the image that i do not want erased and continue working. What i used previously was omnipage and there i can reselect the area where i know the image is in case the program didnt select it properly. Is there a way to do that in Acrobat pro dc?

Acrobat doesn't randomly select part of an image. If you see it select part of a design, then the design is made up of multiple images. It is common for designs to be split up when a PDF is created for some reason. Go back to your original design, edit it, remake the PDF.

Hi Tanguarin,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Looking at the details shared above, if we understand correctly. Then you are willing Acrobat to select the entire image rather then selecting a specific part of the image automatically?

Are you selecting Edit Object under Print Production tool or using Edit PDF feature of Acrobat DC? When you select either Edit or  Eidt Object there should be bounding box appeared which you can expand accordingly.

Identifying the object is an inbuilt feature of Acrobat which isn't controllable. However, its also depends on the PDFs properties of how exactly the image has been embedded.

Regards,

Akanchha

The problem is that I scanned old magazines and I'm trying to upload them to an online catalog. So, I myself did not create the design.

So, it's your scanner software (perhaps Acrobat) that is making multiple image parts. It's entirely normal. If you want to retouch the scan, do it BEFORE making the PDF.
