How to convert multiple textboxes to checkboxes

Good day,

during the last months we are working on Adobe Acrobat DC and we have the following issue when we create pdf forms.

It is quite common to us to convert a Form from Word format to Pdf format. Then, we select "Prepare Form" in Adobe DC to insert/modify/delete the auto-created fields (textboxes, checkboxes, etc). During this conversion there are fields which should be checkboxes instead of textboxes. In order to proceed, we delete them all and then re-create them which is very time consuming.

Is there a functionality which allows us to select multiple fields and change them from one type to another (e.g. convert all selected textboxes to checkboxes)?

Regards

- That's not correct. You can select specific fields to convert from a list or based on their names, field type and page.

- Yes, it's compatible with all versions of Acrobat (probably not before version 7, though).

- The size remains exactly the same.

There's no built-in function in Acrobat that allows you to do it, no. It can be done using a script, though with some limitations, such as this one I've developed and which can be purchased from here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Convert Form Fields Type

Thank you for your prompt reply.

After a quick read I see that this converts not only the selected items but the whole page items. Partially is useful to me. Any other suggestions please?

p.s. is this compatible to all adobe acrobat products/versions?
