How to hide / show text dynamically like you can with fill in fields / drop down boxes?

I have large sections of a form I want to be dormant unless a drop down option is select first but can't find a way to show / hide text labels.

Thanks,

What kind of text do you have, is it in a text field, normal static text or a text box?

There are few ways you can achive this.

If it's a text field or a text box you can hide them with script.

If it's a normal static text you can put text field over it with white background and show/hide that field.

Just straight up plain text box.

Ok that's an interested work around. I don't know much about scripting, do you have a dummy script I could try to apply to any future work?

When you say "plain text box" you mean you created it with comment tool-> add text box?

Are you able to share your file perhaps?
