Dear community,

I have a interactive PDF and want to have it signed. But I don't want the signers give possiblities to change the fields (I already filled in).

So I have to flatten the PDF first and prepare it for signing. But how do I do that?

Your answer will be very helpful, thank you in advance,

Thank you, Document geek!

I'm not that good in installing javascript on my computer, but I found answers in related conversations, too (PreFlight). In the meantime I found out that in Prepare form I can select all fields, and in Properties set them all to 'read only'. That works too 🙂 Lot of work, but it works. It would be very helpful if Adobe allows us to secure pages but still keeps the possiblity for signing 🙂

Thanks again for your answer, have a great day!

You should use:

this.flattenPages();

Beware that this is an Acrobat Pro/Standard feature only, Acrobat Reader can't flatten pages.
