How to remove security settings in Adobe Acrobat PRO DC

It says this question has been answered, but the answer link is dead. 

How do I remove the security to combine files.  My Adobe password isnt correct, and I created both documents.

You have to know the password to the files (NOT the same as your Adobe account password) to do so.
