How to tell how many pages are a3, and how many are a4

Is there any posibility to know how many pages are in a3 format, and how many are in a4?
We are scanning documents (near 200 of them), and lost count of different page size

After the PDF is created, a script can be used to count different page sizes. In fact I'm sure there is a post on this topic where scripts are provided.
