I installed Acrobat 5 in Windows 10 but the distiller printer does not show up in available printers. Any suggestions?

No version of Adobe Acrobat earlier than Acrobat 8.1 is compatible with any version of Windows beyond 32-bit Windows XP.

The most important incompatibility is associated with the print / spooling system which changed the interface used by the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance created by Acrobat for PDF creation using the distillation of PostScript method.

You will also likely find installation issues associated with changes in where executables, user-based preferences and data, etc. are stored within the system.

Serious security issues in older versions of Acrobat should also be considered in addition to many product improvements made over th years.

Suggest it was made for Windows XP. Time to buy a new Acrobat.

Yes, but all of my other programs that ran under XP successfully made the leap to 10 without problems, all except Acrobat.

Also, it's just Distiller that doesn't work. Acrobat loaded fine

Yes. And Yes. Acrobat isn't other programs. Acrobat 5, 6 and 7 will not load a printer in any 64 bit system.
