What exactly in what program on what OS are you doing. Please give more information so that we may have a chance to try reproducing your problem.

Hello, thanks for your interest, my computer is running Windows 10, and the problem that I am facing with adobe acrobat when I try to record a voice note clearing this message and preventing me from that:

I don't even know what the wave device is, and I have checked that the program is up to date and I'm still facing the problem. Please help, thanks.

Try turning off the Protected Mode.
