Hi, can anyone tell me how I might import things like comments, highlights in text and comments on notes from one pdf to another.
I have someone proofing a manuscript for me and I want to be able to add any new highlights or comments that they make on their copy of the pdf to my "master" file, without chaging or effecting any new comments or highlights I myself make to my version of the file - if that makes sense!?
I'm using acrobat pro XI, so is the other person.
Thanks in advance 🙂

I think I've corectly answered my own question...
On the proofing copy:
In comments panel>comments list>options select "export all to data file".
This creates a .fdf file
On the "master" copy:
comments panel/comments list/options, select "import data file"
Import the .fdf file created from the proofing copy
This will add ALL comments, highlights, notes, etc from the proofing copy will keeping any current comments info on the master copy.
The only possible issue would be comments that were added to the proofing copy before it was sent to the proofer but have subsequently been removed on the master copy - they will "re-appear" on import.
Also note that if a comment has been modified on the master copy, but not on the proofer's copy, the comment will be overwritten by whatever is on the proofer's copy on import.
