Can Acrobat X Pro create a tab on the Word 365 ribbon? It didn't show up on the initial install, so I tried installing via the dll (file, options, add-ins, Manage Com add-ins, etc.) but it said it was incompatible.
It's not compatible. See: Web browsers and PDFMaker applications compatible with Acrobat and Reader

Hi Johnathan
Acrobat X is no longer supported by Adobe and you didn't say which release of Word 365 you are using but I suspect that that might be the problem.

Thanks Gary.
I have the latest version of Office 365 which I downloaded on a trial basis last weekend. After spending hours with various Microsoft departments (support, sales and even Windows), nobody there can answer this simple question. I read online that Microsoft and Adobe work closely together, but they simply don't share that with their front line folks.
I'm going to try reinstalling Acrobat X Pro to see if a tab magically appears, but I don't have high hopes.

You're probably right, but that document ("Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications | Older versions of Acrobat and Reader") does not list Office 365.

If you have “the latest version” of Office 365, you have the equivalent of Office 2019 with more bells and whistles. It is not supported by Acrobat 10.

"Office 365" is a licensing model, not a version number.
