Lack of clarity of font in SVG compared to EMF in pdf files

When I zoom EMF and SVG images in ppt for 400%, I am able to see the text crisp and clear. Now when I export these ppt to pdf using Export to PDF option(File->Export->Create PDF document) and zoom these pdf to 400%, I see text squashed (refer to "te" in international and "ti" in relative,international and domestic) in SVG whereas in EMF it is very clear. Any idea what could be the issue and possible fix for this?
P.S.: Font used here is Arial Narrow.

Are you able to share the before (ppt) and after (pdf)  or a sample that shows the problem?
