Letter L and I looking bold in pdfs resolved

To solve letter 'l's or cap 'I's going bold when saved to pdf (in a logo design for eg where you have outlined the type) we realised it was because of the lack of anchor points, ie only four, one on each corner of these letters. If you add an extra anchor point between each corner (obviously this makes no difference to the shape of the letter) when converted to pdf for some weird reason acrobat now recognises the correct width of these oblong letters better, and the pdf converts these letters at their true width  - so you and your clients can see them accurately with no acrobat preference setting changes.

 

We stumbled across this by accident! after being very frustrated when our designs were distorted by this quirk....
