Link between one PDF and a specific document in a PDF Portfolio

I have two PDFs that I need to keep as separate files: a PDF portfolio with 10 documents and a PDF index of those 10 documents.

Is there a way to link the PDF index to a particular document within the PDF portfolio? I want to link the entry for "Document X" in the PDF index to open "Document X" in the PDF portfolio, but I have only been able to link the entry for "Document X" to open page one of the portfolio. I know that if I made the index a part of the portfolio, I could link to a specific document within the portfolio, but I need to keep these separate.

When you create a link to a "Page View" and then navigate to the corresponding document in the portfolio, it should work (I just tried it with a newly craeted portfolio with three documents, and a separate index file that links to all three).

When I try to do this, the first link to doc1 works, but once i create a second link - both links will update point to doc2.  Any ideas on how to prevent this?
