Links with Umlaut

Dear all,

I created a Microsoft Word document with links to files and folders (which are stored in a network drive, S:\). This document is published as PDF within our Intranet. We use Internet Explorer (11) für browsing, and files are opened with the Acrobat PlugIn within Internet Explorer.

If the folder or file contains an Umlaut (ä, ö, ü, which is quite common in Germany, where I live), all links to files or Folders with an Umlaut are not working: only an error message appears.

When I open he identical file directly with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2015 version, Classic, 2015.006.30094), all links are working. All links are also working when inserted in the URL bar in IE. I assume there is a bug with the ActiveX control (version number 15.6.30060.147031).

Can you confirm this behaviour? Or do you have Workarounds?

I know we could change the behaviour of opening PDF files directly in Acrobat - but this is not an option as we also use LC-Designer for creting PDF forms and we need the preview withion LC Designer to test our forms - and so the Option "open PDF in browser" has to be set.

I would be glad if anyone can give hints or Solutions.

Thanks in advance

Best

Dietmar
