Making scrollable text visible in read-only

I created an interactive invoice document in InDesign using scrollable form fields inside a table layout.. Each row in the table can support three lines of 8pt text before scrolling. Once the fields are filled in by the user they need to be read-only before being sent off to the next recipient. I tried the "Flatten form fields" option in the "Optimize PDF" menu selection, but that strips away any scrollable field past the three lines allowed.

Is it possible to have the forms completed then re-exported as read-only and have those scrollable fields remain intact?
