Manual signature after setting the digital signature

Hello all,
we have generated a PDF from an Excel document. Subsequently, a digital signature is to be provided first with a root certificate from us. This was saved without locking. When this was then sent to the customer, it could no longer be signed manually with the "Fill in and sign" function.
It is only possible to sign the document with another digital signature via certificate? Is this specifically requested? Since there are also customers who do not use a certificate, this is unfortunately not practical.

As a workaround, we now use the option of first having the customer fill out the document with the "Fill out and sign" function and then having us sign it digitally. Which is just not so perfect.

Thanks for your support

Bastian

HI,

Adding a digital signature locks the file, if someone else edits the file, your digital signature is then not valid or just impossible. Have you tried to insert 2 signature fields?

If you want to support customers who do not use digital signatures, as well as those that do, you have two very different workflows. The deliverables, terms & conditions etc. will be different. So you need to lower your signing needs to match theirs (but only for those people).
