Modifying sticky note icon orientation/size

When adding a sticky note to a document, it faces the wrong way. I wish there was a way to rotate it so the talk bubble faces in the direction of the text, as well as resizing it, or at least, allow it to scale with the text. If I resize the document, the icon doesn't appear to stay locked. I've use the arrow on the bottom but would prefer the talk bubble.

Is there a way to adjust the orientation of these icons?

No, they can’t be resized or flipped, at least not out of the box. You can only change what you see in Properties for the icon.
