Monitor goes black when opening PDF in Acrobat DC

Windows 10, current with all updates. Same for Acrobat DC, also reinstialled and same problem.

2 mointors 1 LG via displayport and 1 Dell via HDMI. Video card is Nvidia GTX 1660SC, also current drivers.

 

Sometimes, when I open a PDF via double clicking on it in file explorer, the LG goes blank for a second, then resumes displaying. The PDF is displayed properly each time, the only issue is the screen blanking out as if it was going to sleep. It seems to happen most frequently when I have had a document open in Acrobat for a while minimized, and then open another.

 

Any ideas?

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the first monitor turns to black for a second after opening the PDF when another PDF is already opened and minimized

 

Please try to remove the second monitor (Dell Via HDMI) and try to reproduce the issue and check if it still occurs.

 

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? TO check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat DC.

 

We have released a new optional update for Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC version 20.12.20043 today. Please try to update the application to the new version and see if it makes any difference. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

 

You may also try to adjust the screen resolution for the LG monitor. Also, go to Edit > Preferences > General > and select 'Auto Detect' for scale for screen resolution and see if that helps.
