Hi,
I'm having a really annoying bug:
Whenever I open any PDF file in Acrobat Reader DC (Base Ver. 21.256 / 2021.001.20145) im getting this notification as on "acrobat_star.png".
I found it helped if I checked the checkbox as on "acrobat_notification2.png"
But randomly when I open any other file (2nd or 3rd other file) I again get this blue box which I'm having to click away. Do this a 100 times a day and you want to throw that PC out of the window...
So it seems AR resets this checkbox as on "acrobat_notification.png".
Any solution besides uninstalling?
Regards,
Dirk

Hi Dirk
Hope you are doing we;l and sorry for the trouble. As described, you are getting the message tips/notifications from Adobe when you open a PDF file, even though you have set the preference settings to not to show them but still it does.
Please try to repair the installation from help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once. Go to Help > Repair installation.
If it still doesn't work, please try to reset the Acrobat preferences to default as described in the help page https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792... and then go to Edit > Preferences > General > Under 'Messages from Adobe , 'Uncheck 'Show me messages when I launch Acrobat Reader ' and Select 'Dont show me messages when viewing a document ' see if that works.
If it still doesn't work, please create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal
