Numbered List

I am having trouble with list numbering in Adobe Acrobat DC.
When I try to continue my list on to the 2nd page of the document the numbering starts over with "1".  How do I get it to start with "8" instead?

I've tried highlighting the text and alt-clicking the numbering button, but that does not bring up any options or dialog box.

Any help will be appreciated.

What do you mean by "list numbering"? List box (Acrobat form fields)?
And what is numbered? Any form fields?
Can you share the pdf? It can only be with these numbered lists.
