Hello Everyone,

I am facing an issue while creating an interactive form. Here it is :

I created an interactive form using Indesign, containing some basic fields: text mostly and one button with an action "mailto:xxx@xxxx.com" when clicking normally sending the integrality of the form as pdf to the recipient.

I transferred it to .pdf file without any issue, I added a label to my button.

But i send this form to someone using acrobat reader 9, the person can fill out all the fields, but when clicking on the submit button generates "Operation not permitted"

I followed the directions of a lot of websites, including ones from adobe. I check that all my fonts are embedded.

I am unable to see where the issue might come from.

Thanks for your help

It can, but some features will not work (like selecting images, or using a calender widget to select dates), and it can't be saved (unless the form is extended in advance using Acrobat). Also things like integrating with the OS could malfunction because it's so outdated.

They really should update to the latest version of Reader, Reader DC.

Tell them to try to use the free Adobe Reader. It will be up to date on anything that any new version of Acrobat and InDesign creates and did I mention it's free?

They can continue to use Acro-9 for their own use but otherwise they should upgrade to the Reader for filling out forms that you create.

Yes, upgrading Adobe Reader solved the issue.
