Thanks Jane-e. What if you're using a laptop or don't have an extended keyboard?

Hi @Fritz Hansen

On most keyboards you can hold down the fn (function) key and use the single set of numbers. Unfortunately, it depends on who makes your laptop. I use a Mac and always get the extended keyboard because I depend on those keys for Adobe shortcuts (not just Acrobat).

Thanks. I also use a lot of keyboard shortcuts in my Adobe products. In this case, I'm asking for someone else on a project I'm working on where a PDF will be used as a slideshow, and I wanted to give her the option of doing the auto-scroll. I'm assuming she's going to use a laptop, but I'll suggest the number keys with the fn key. Thanks for the underlying info about the number keys. Good to know.

Also: even if there is a numeric keypad, numlock has to be on, or else they are arrow keys.
