PDF document with AutoCAD SHX Text is Extremely slow, is there a way to solve it from Acrobat?

I received some Construction Documents for review created with Autocad, all the text in the documents appear as "Comments" This makes it incredibly slow to pan and review the documents. We do not have access to the original Autocad file to use the solution shown in this link: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/autocad-2016-shx-text-as-comment-in-exported-pdf/m-p/58...

Is there any quick solution to this within one of the adobe programs?
