Hi, I have some text linked. Beside that, I have the url typed out, but the url is not set as a link.

Even though the https:www text is not linked, it is clickable as a link?

Can I not just type a url as text?

You can disable these ad-hoc links by going to Edit (or the Acrobat menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - General and un-ticking the "Create links from URLs" box.
