We currently rely on this feature, however we were informed that Adobe would be getting read of this feature in newcoming versions of Adobe.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

At Adobe, we'd really love to know exactly who informed you that Adobe would be getting rid of the PDF portfolio feature. That is absolutely not true!

What is true is that a feature of PDF portfolios that allowed Flash-based screen displays of a PDF portfolio was discontinued a while ago. However, all the functionality of the PDF portfolios in terms of file operations continue to be supported!

With Acrobat 9 and 10 you were able to “stylize” the appearance of the locations and presentation of the portfolios' files via Adobe Flash.

Acrobat DC can also "play" Portfolios that use Flash-based layouts but it cannot create them.

That is only true if you have Flash separately installed and that feature will disappear by year's end as Adobe totally abandons Flash!

Hi Dov,

I'm looking for a solution for portfolio type PDF and happened to see this thread.

My organization created a lot portfolio PDF files with Adobe Pro XI a few years ago because we need to keep the signature and stuff when we combine PDF files. Now with Flash player out of support, we are not allowed to install on our computer.

What can we do to open those portfolio PDF?

Thank you very much for your help!
