No problem printing word or excel

Problem is with printed font only - handwritten comments do not have a problem.

I have reinstalled adobe reader.

I have cleaned and reinserted print cartridges.

Any suggestions?

Hello Pdfdenver,

We're sorry for the trouble you had while printing a PDF, Is this issue occurs while printing all the PDF files or with specific PDF file?

Do you get the same issue when printing a document (black text) from Microsoft Word? If so, there may be something wrong with your printer. If the problem does not manifest when printing with Word, try the following steps mentioned below:

Disable Protected Mode from Edit>Preferences>Security(Enhanced)>then uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup", press OK, and restart Reader.

Try printing the PDF again and check.

What is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the OS installed?

What is the make and model of the printer installed?

Make sure that you have the latest version of the printer's firmware/driver installed?

If it is specific to one PDF, Is it possible to share the PDF file with us so that we can test it at our end?

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hi Anand -

Thank you for responding,

Short answer for now - I thought it only happened in pdf but under certain circumstances (when I change font colors to a blended color like dark blue) the problem happens in word.  However it is much worse in pdf.

So for right now - let me try to work on the printer side.

Thanks again

I have this same issue.  Seems to be the color cartridge.  What was your solution?

Thanks!
