HI Until a few weeks ago I never had any problems, but now I am no longer able to confer PDF (square format) to JPEG. The image is distorted and stretched in height, so instead of a square I get a very tall rectangle. Never happened before I use Adobe Acrobat XI Standard Have there been any updates?

That's possible. Windows 10 is being updated constantly, while Acrobat XI is not. Maybe a recent update to the former broke the latter, although that would be strange. Make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat XI installed (11.0.23) and maybe try running it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.
Updates are available (for the moment) here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/

What version of Acrobat and operating system are you using?
One workaround would be to open the PDF in Photoshop and save as an image.
