PDF to word - no text is being copied

I've just converted a PDF to word and none of the text has copied over at all. I've never had this problem. Please help. I'm a busy teacher and I need this facility to work. Thanks

Hi Yasmind,

Couple of questions:

1) was this an original PDF document or a PDF that you generated from a scan?

2) if it was either, is the text in the PDF selectable or if you try to select it does the whole page (or a selection) turn blue

3) What version of Acrobat do you have (and release version) and what OS are you on (and release version)?
