Plotting to PDF from Autocad LT 2012 using Acrobat DC

Historically, we've used Adobe Acrobat to plot AutoCAD drawings to PDF. This is chiefly because of the particular way Acrobat constructs filenames. The system has worked for 20 years, without any issue - mainly on Windows 7, but older systems too.

Alongside our old 64 bit Windows 7 machines, we now have one 64 bit Windows 10 machine, and two Adobe subscription licenses. However, with this combination, I am unable to print using Acrobat DC. Further, our old copy of Acrobat 8 appears to be incompatible with this machine (the licensing system seems no longer to be supported), so we're stuck with a machine that seems to be incapable of plotting to PDF in the same way as the other machines. This leads to inconsitencies in file naming which are a serious pain.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?
