Preference window too large and does not record changes

Explorer ,
Dec 17, 2019 Dec 17, 2019

In Acrobat XI, my Preference window is too large, does not record changes, cannot be resized, and have no Minimize or Reduce icon. I cannot even see if there is a Save button to save changes or if one is simply supposed to Exit after making a change. I have repaired the app. I have restarted both the app and the computer after a change. (The change I am trying to make is General > Scale for screen resolution – refusing to change from Auto-Detect to something else.)

What can I do?

Are you using windows 10 and have a screen scaling setting of >100% ?

I have noticed that this can cause unscaleable windows in some applications to be larger than the screen, blocking the uesr from pressing OK or save.

Spot on, Daniel. However, it seems to depend on whether the main monitor (I have three monitors) is set to 100 % or not. I will have to try to move the main app from the main monitor to one of the other.

Thank you!

As a matter of fact, what solved the problem was that after I had reduced the setting of all monitors to 100 % (THANKS!), I was able to set General > Scale for screen resolution to 100 % (previously AutoDetect). Thanks for setting me in the right direction.
