I have recently installed Acrobat DC having been Adobe customer for over 25 years but every docuemnt I open I get a message saying that ADobe is prepareing the docuemnt for reading and then just hangs. I can still read teh document but cannot search with in it or highlight or do anything other than look and print. This is a shocking problem and I note that comments ont this go back several years. Please Adobe why can't you fix this? I guess I'll have to start using competitor software...

Hi Tom!,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

- Open the Acrobat and go to Edit > Preferences (or Application Preferences on Mac) > Reading.

- Under "Screen Reader Options" select "Only read the currently visible pages".

Check if that helps.

Let us know if the issue persists.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
