Hello,

sorry for my english,

In my windows explorer viewing pane, I would like to have my Acrobat Pro, and not PDF Architect. I specified in Acrobat that I wanted to use it for viewing, it's my default PDF reader, and I don't want to uninstall PDF Architect.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Laurentd

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to set the Acrobat Pro to be the default PDF viewer.

Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you did to make the Acrobat as the default application?

Please try the steps suggested in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/not-default-pdf-owner-windows10.html and see if that works for you.

Let us know if you experience any issue and need more help.

Regards

Amal

Bonjour Amal,

Hi there

I am sorry for the confusion. The PDF Shell component in Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC allows you to see the thumbnails of PDF documents in Windows explorer. The PDF thumbnail shows you the little content of the PDF file in its icon as shown below:

However, the preview pane in Windows explorer is Windows mechanism to preview/display the contect of any file selected as shown below:
