We have noticed since the latest update that Acrobat DC is bringing up the print dialog each time it opens, this didn't happen on older versions. We use Acrobat DC on our remote desktop servers to print courier labels and the way it used to work is a label print would be initiated from the courier software, this would then open an Acrobat process and a print job would be sent to the specified printer automatically. Since the update the users are having to select the printer in the print dialog and click OK for each label.
Could anyone suggest what might be causing this from an Acrobat perspective please? For now we're downgrading Acrobat on affected servers and attempting to disable automatic updates. We have disabled the 'Enable Acrobat JavaScript' in Preferences after a bit of Googling but this didn't have any effect on the issue. It only seems to be affecting users in RDS environments, users carrying out the same process on local machines have not reported this, nor can we replicate the issue outside of an RDS environment.

This is usually caused by a script that's embedded in the file itself. Acrobat doesn't do that on its own.
You can verify that's the reason by disabling JavaScript altogether, under Edit (or the Acrobat app menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - JavaScript, and then opening the file.
The script can be removed or commented out if the file is not secured, so if you see it's not opening after you do that let us know and we'll guide you on how to do that, if you wish.

Thanks for this, however I've just been told a bit more information on this, specifically how we pass the file over. The process is:
I guess for some reason the printer is now not being picked up in the same way

Ah well, this is quite important information... So just remove the /t parameter and printer name from the command if you don't want it to be printed.

Yes, apologies for not including it in the original question, annoyingly I only found that out after posting!
The problem is we do want the label to print, but we don't want to have to click OK on the print prompt each time, ideally it needs to work like it did before Acrobat auto updated to the latest version where it would launch the process and print automatically with no user intervention/print dialog

Just looking to bump this post if I can please, we do need Acrobat to print as per the command line arguments but without the print dialog having to be confirmed each time as seems to be the case since the latest update.
