I am experiencing a newish problem printing plan copies. We download large sets of plans ( blueprints) and when sent to printer they take forever to flatten and print. I upgraded to provide and have tried pre flight and print production tools but it still takes a long time what am I doing wrong?

Can you describe in more detail how are you doing this from Acrobat?

I have not found a way to do this. I have a 250page document sized 24x36
with multiple signatures and seals. When I try to print it takes over 20
minutes to flatten and send to my printer. I have not found a way to pre
flatten that does not also take up to 20 minutes. So I have been printing
the document 10 pages at a time (huge PITA). This seems to be fairly new
problem. We never had this issue with large files before digital signatures
and seals. I was hoping it is something simple I am missing.

Seems like the Acrobat Distiller settings need some manual configuration.

You will need to test with different customizations until you get the Adobe PDF printer streamlined to work as you intend.

You can go to Edit, Preferences and disabel "Optimizes for fast web view" for example. But mainly check the preferences you have for "Convert to PDF" and "Convert from PDF".

See this discussion to get additional insights on the settings that I'm referring to:

Otherwise I would just use Save As postscripted file.
