When I go to print a mixed size document, a large part of bottom is getting cut off - its like the whole document is sliding down. The PDF on the screen all looks good, its just when it prints.

Hi Martin,
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, when printing mixed size document, a large part of bottom is getting cut off from the bottom.
Would you mind sharing screenshot of the settings you have selected in the print dialogue box of Adobe Acrobat?
Please select 'Fit' under page size and handling and Check 'Choose paper source by PDF page size' as shown in the screenshot below and see if that helps.
For more information, please look at the steps provided in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/print-mixed-page-sizes-acrobat.html
Regards
Amal

Sorry, but this is not a solution, but a workaround. The OP is referring to a mixed page size job where printing is to a printer that supports multiple size papers and the expectation is that the print job will select the paper tray with paper appropriate for the PDF page size. And using the Fit option only makes the problem worse!
