Printing without margin/gutter

How do I remove the additional gutter/margin when printing from acrobat. The document has a 5mm margin on screen but printing turns this in to 1.5 cm margin. In the print dialogue box there is always an additional greyed out area which adds a massive margin to the finished print.

Incidentally, the document is designed to be margin less but word for mac always adds a margin as I save to PDF. Any hints on how to remove the as it saves.

When printing from Acrobat, be sure to turn OFF the page scaling/fit to page options. Then it will print at the designed size, even if Acrobat is worried it may not fit in the visible printed area. Have you confirmed that your printer can print to 5mm from the edge? Many could not.

Thanks. I am printing on the multiple pages per page setting (to get two A5 prints off one page). This doesn't then have the ability to turn scaling off.
