Hi,

I have two questions of signing and validating documents with Acrobate Reader/DC that we have an agrement for and installed on our clients/servers.

  • Does any data leave our clients/servers when signing a document?
  • Is any data transferred to Adobe at any stage of the work process?

Best regards, eva

What app or service do you run on your servers to perform signing?

What method of signing do you use with Acrobat/Reader? If there is a certificate, what is the issuing process?

Those questions seem to be the same... If you use a Digital Signature field the answer is No to both. If you use Adobe Sign the answer is Yes to both. If you use something else, please describe what it is.

I'm thinking that it might be necessary to travel up a chain of trust starting at the signature until arriving at a trusted signatory. This is of course a passive process but you can't read from the internet without sending a request.
