"Buffer overflow" error during printing

Community Beginner ,
Apr 28, 2017 Apr 28, 2017

I often run into a "buffer overflow" error during printing from Acrobat DC for Mac.

The funny thing is that when I print the exact same PDF document from Acrobat DC for Windows, it doesn't trigger such error.

That's why I surmise that the error is caused by Acrobat DC for Mac, not my printer or the computer.

my iMac has plenty of memory too - 24GB.

Any suggestions to cure this problem?

Buffer overflow is a serious bug and nothing to do with running out of memory. Where exactly do you see these words?

I see it under iMac's System Preference >> Printers & Scanners, when nothing is coming out of the printer.

I think that message is coming from the printer driver, perhaps the printer itself. What is the printer? What is the version of Mac OS?
