RE: contents of PDF file disappear

Adobe Acrobat could not open 'inserttitlehere.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

What on earth is this about? I've spent six hours working on a document for review at work, and Adobe has saved it incorrectly, seemingly corrupting it irreversibly in the process. Does anyone have any work arounds?

Can you share the file with us?

If not, open it in a plain-text editor (like Notepad). What is the first line of text you see?

If you still have the source document (maybe Word?), you can try to convert it to PDF again, perhaps using a different technique that you used earlier.  How did you create the doc?  How did you convert to PDF?  Sometimes taking a different route gives much better results.

My best,

Dave
