Hi
I've used the redact function in Adobe Pro to remove text from a document which had been scanned in, after this I've then used the find text feature. unfortunately after this has converted the pages into a readable format it has misaligned my redactions and they are no longer where they were originally placed. I've accidentally saved over the document without realising this and want to revert back to the original. My computer is not set to save back up versions so i cannot use properties in windows to restore a previous one, is there any other way to change the document so the redactions are where they were originally?

Did you apply the redactions? If so, the answer is no. If you didn't apply them then they are just comments which you should be able to drag to a different location. Either that or remove them and then re-create them using the Search & Remove Text command.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't applied the redactions and knew that these could be re-created but the document is over 1000 pages with redactions on each page so it's a lot of work I've lost which was the reason for wanting to revert it. I've tried everything i can think of but guessing i'll just have to take it as a lesson for future.
