I have a PDF rich text box, populated by an application, which has rich text within it. When the text box is selected to edit, all of the formatting disappears. I have attached screenshots of the issue. I am not able to attach the PDF, but if any information or troubleshooting tips can be provided for me to perform on the PDF I would appreciate it. I've tried font changes, population method changes, etc. but nothing seems to work.
Unselected textbox: bold format and spacing are correct
Selected textbox: bold format is lost and spacing is doubled

Probably a fault in the generating app. (A PDF contains two copies of each field in different formats, and when you click, it switches) Try generating a non-sensitive PDF that you can share, if you would like the community to have a go at analyzing the file.

Thanks for your reply. Can you provide me any more information about the "two copies of each field in different formats"?

Here's a PDF example of the field formatting issues
You'll notice when clicking in to the field that the field format changes.

That link doesn't work. Please create a publicly available link using something like Dropbox, Google Drive or the Adobe Cloud.

To enormously oversimplify a thousand page document...
Each form field is included in the PDF in two ways. One as regular PDF graphic pictures, and the other as special form field picture descriptions. An app might show EITHER of them, or might use both. The key thing is that these two entirely different pictures must look the same. If they don't, an app may switch between them unpredictably.
Often, when clicking into a field, an app (like Acrobat) may use the form field picture because it's designed for editing, and then is expected to make the PDF picture to match when the user leaves the field. Rich text fields are probably the most complicated to get both pictures right and a lot of apps don't even try. But Acrobat can do it.
As an end user you can't influence this, it's up to software makers to get it right. I hope you can share a public link.
