I'm using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC, up to date with all the patches installed. I used to use it to open Word files and convert them to PDF. Now if I try to do this, it tells me I am missing PDFmaker files and asks me if I want to do a repair install. I say yes, it then produces a progress window that tells me 15 minutes to go, then disappears before the process is complete. Then, nothing happens - the installation process appears to stall/hang, and there are no further progress updates.
Also, I used to be able to Save As Adobe PDF from within Word. This now no longer works - the process hangs about 75% of the way through, while gobbling up memory and CPU.
Does anyone know how I can get PDFing using Adobe working again, please?
