Save As Adobe PDF no longer works

I'm using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC, up to date with all the patches installed. I used to use it to open Word files and convert them to PDF. Now if I try to do this, it tells me I am missing PDFmaker files and asks me if I want to do a repair install. I say yes, it then produces a progress window that tells me 15 minutes to go, then disappears before the process is complete. Then, nothing happens - the installation process appears to stall/hang, and there are no further progress updates.

 

Also, I used to be able to Save As Adobe PDF from within Word. This now no longer works - the process hangs about 75% of the way through, while gobbling up memory and CPU.

 

Does anyone know how I can get PDFing using Adobe working again, please?

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to create PDF from PDF maker also print to PDF is not working.

 

Please try to create PDF with the Acrobat Distiller Application as described in the help page below:
