I just downloaded Acrobat DC & being told I needed it to be able to scan & type on a document? Now the Acrobat DC will not open. Please advise.
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, the Acrobat DC will not open.
We need some more information for a better understanding:
- What is the workflow/steps you are doing to scan? What happens when you try to open the Acrobat DC application?
- Do you get any error message, when you try to open the application? If yes please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.
- Are you on Mac or Windows OS? Please check for any missing/pending updates for your OS and reboot the computer once and check if that helps.
- What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version of the application please take help from the help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html and make sure you have the latest version 21.01.20138. Please try to manually update the application using the patch from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and reboot the computer once and check if that helps.
