The default text box in my Acrobat Pro program is only an inch or so long, so I always need to lengthen it after entering the text. Does anyone know how to set the default to a longer length?
Thanks

Hi Drwarch
We are sorry for the trouble. As described you need to lengthen text box after entering the text and want to change the default length of the text box.
Would you mind sharing the workflow or steps you are doing to add the text box to the PDF document? Are you adding the text box through the comment tool or through the prepare form tool?
You can drag the text box while creating it initially as per your requirement. If you are uncertain about the length of the text and using the Prepare form tool please try the following steps and see if that helps:
- Go to text field properties > Options > Select 'Multiline' and 'Scroll Long Text' > Close
Let us know how it goes

Hi
This is an easy fix. Format the text field as you wish, then right-click it and choose "Use Current Properties as New Defaults". This will last on your computer until you do it again on a new field. There are a few properties that won't convey, but you'll see those.
