Where I work we had been sharing documents for review through network drives...until Framemaker/Acrobat stopped working on me and I had to reinstall Acrobat.
Now the share procedure seems to be different and it looks as though acrobat forces you to use their cloud service for sharing. Is there somewhere where I could set up acrobat so that we can share files through a network location and NOT the cloud?
Hi,
It seems you are looking for a new preference in Acrobat that was added for Reviewing. Please follow the steps below:
Edit > Preferences (Ctrlor CMD+K) > Reviewing > Uncheck Share for review using Document Cloud.
You may refer to this article for Share for Review

I had just gone through the same process and was able to share a file for review. However, I was only able to send the file as an attachement - not a link to the file location which is preferable for how we do business on my team. I keep getting an error once I reach the Name for the Server Profile menu that says the file name is not valid (checked an eliminated an obstacles there) or I am using a protected sytem location (also not the case since that is where the review file gets stored when I use the send as attachement function). Three of us have this same problem - is it a bug that came with the latest update or a setting that needs to be changed? Our IT team was unable to resolve this for us.
Thank you

So this means you cannot just right click and share to an email like in the old days??
