I am trying to find the best way to shrink all pages of multiple scanned documents.
The aim is, to have an empty border of e.g. one inch all around after the shrinking. Headers and footers that would then be applied would not interfere with the information in the scanned images.
The procedure would ideally be running in batch mode, i.e. process all scanned documents in a given directory and shrink all pages in the same way.
Any ideas? Someone must have done something like that before...

If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, then you can do this in a two step process: In the first step, you scale down the page by a certain amount (see here for more information about how to do that: Scaling Page Content in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - KHKonsulting LLC ), and then in a second step, you use the crop tool, and specifically the Change Page Size option to enlarge your page's size back to the original page size.
