Signature is blurry in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2020.013.20074

Mac Pro 7,1 Big Sur (although this issue occurred when I was still using Catalina)

No matter what resolution I save my signature image at or what file type (JPG, PNG, TIFF), the signature appears low-res and blurry when I load it into Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

The signature is perfectly sharp in the original image and it has a transparent background

I have seen others post about this but it seems there have been no solutions posted (that I could find).

If anyone knows how to fix this (or, whether it even can be), I would really appreciate it.

Thank you

Hi,

Can you describe the steps you use to insert your signature?

I used my webcam to take a photo of my signature

I then opened the image and removed the background

I then opened a pdf in Adobe Acorbat Pro DC

I clicked on "Fill & Sign"

Then "Sign Yourself"

Then "Add Signature"

Then "Image"

I then loaded in (on 3 different attempts) a .png, .jpg and .riff

(The signature image appeared blurry in the signature window)

Hit "Apply"

Then inserted my signature into the pdf and it was blurry

I have also added this same signature image into Apple Preview and the signature is beautifully sharp

Do you need to have your document digitally signed?

In the past, I just "inserted the image" to add my signature at the end of the page.

You are correct that I can add in the image and it will be sharp

However, that being said, I am still attempting to find out why adding my image as a signature in the "Fill & Sign" function saves it therein as a blurry image

I was having same issue and was able to fix by doing the following:

1. took a screenshot of a small blank area of a Word doc (shift+Command+4)

2. On the screenshot page I then can create a signature by clicking on the top icon for signatures

mahany0101_0-1634307843979.png. I used my trackpad to create signature and it worked really well.

3. I then added the signature to the blank screenshot by selecting it from the signature icon

4. I then enlarged the signature on the page and cropped it so that no excess space was there

5. I saved it and then was able to use from the PDF with the Fill and Sign function and upload image. Came out crystal clear.

I had the same issue, and checked the box under the first color dot to the left of  sign yourself  to "retain the color of the original signature"  cleared up the issue.
