Test accessibility in Infographics - Text boxes

Hello,

I have a small infographic created with powerpoint, in it I use text boxes with the explanation inside and I point with arrows to the following box to indicate the reading order to a sighted user.

For blind readers I have correctly placed the reading order of the different objects.

So far everything is correct, I save it as pdf and I check the accessibility of the document with the Adobe Acrobat options and my surprise when it complains of "Figures alternate text - Incorrect". Here your explanation: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/create-verify-pdf-accessibility.html?trackingid=KACNN#FigAltTe...

Ok I write the alternative text in the text boxes and then it no longer complains about "Figures alternate text" and gives me an accessibility error for "Nested alternate text - Incorrect", here your explanation: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/create-verify-pdf-accessibility.html?trackingid=KACNN#NestedAl....

I have thought about indicating that it is a decorative figure but it does not seem correct because I think that then a text reader could not read the text inside the box.

  • How can i fix this?
  • I understand that if it is already a text box I should not add alternative text, then why does this error appear and how do I make this accessible?

I've been reading this post, but it doesn't solve this question either: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/text-box-accessibility/m-p/5805082

See you!!!
