Text Corrupted in Acrobat DC

I have a standard template created in Acrobat DC for my files.  The file saved and displayed properly, but when I went to combine multiple files into one, the original file's text corrupted into what is attached. I am running Windows 10 with all current Creative Cloud updates

This is 4 hours of work lost, and I am fuming mad.  I hope somone has a workaround and fast.

From what I can tell, the file dropped random letters all throughout for no apparant reason.  The font is Arial.
